Following a landslip which blocked the railway line between Porth and Dinas station in South Wales AMCO has been working with Network Rail to clear the slip and return the line into use.
After the slip was first reported on Sunday 21st January AMCO attended the site with Network Rail and immediately set about clearing the slip material. Clearance works continued throughout Sunday night to allow Network Rail’s in house design team to assess the infrastructure at first light on Monday morning. Their assessment identified additional de-vegetation and drainage works that were required. AMCO’s team worked to complete these works over the following 48 hours allowing the railway to be re-opened on Wednesday 24th.
Another example of great teamwork between both organisations to minimise disruption to passengers.
